Los Angeles, CA (May 10, 2022) – Entrepreneur Sam Jordan has launched Red Bear Winery, in partnership with his father, Wayne Jordan. The new boutique label is crafted in the Alexander Valley of Sonoma County by local winemaker Drew Damskey. Beginning with availability only on the label’s website, the limited edition Red Bear 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon will be sold directly to consumers. This project began in 2018 for Sam and Wayne and they are thrilled to finally be introducing Red Bear to the world. ?
“With every sip of Red Bear, the passion, legacy and commitment to craft in the Alexander Valley is expressed. We are thrilled to introduce our 2018 inaugural vintage and share it with all wine lovers across the country,” says Sam Jordan, Co-Founder, Red Bear Winery.
Red Bear’s 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon was bottled in July 2018 in the Alexander Valley. Tasting notes include velvety and bold with elegant acidity and peppery tannins. There are notes of chocolate covered cherries, black raspberries and red cassis to enjoy. This is a full-bodied expressive wine that is meant to be enjoyed for every occasion.
This family start-up business has been a great partnership for the California based entrepreneurs and wine connoisseurs. Wayne Jordan started his illustrious career in real estate development over 30 years ago. He has been instrumental in the positive facelift of the city of Oakland during that time and continues to be a pillar of the community. It was real estate that first brought Wayne to the vineland of Alexander Valley. Wayne acquired the T Bar T vineyard in the year 2015. In 2018, with the collaboration of his son Samuel, Wayne embarked on the journey that is Red Bear Winery. While this is where Wayne’s winemaking story begins, his passion for premium wines began many years ago with his first trip to Italy. Red Bear is the culmination of many trips to Italy, France, and Spain, tasting and reveling in the great Old World wines. Wayne brought back that knowledge and respect for the craft of winemaking to Northern California, the epicenter of New World winemaking. Today, Wayne’s passion for wines can be heard as he speaks about the process and the many tastings it took to craft a product that he and the family can be proud of, Red Bear.
Samuel Jordan is an entrepreneur, world traveler, and wine lover. Samuel first piqued his interest in wines during his stint living abroad in Barcelona and Madrid. There, not only the access to amazing wines but also the culture surrounding wine fascinated him. Through various wine tastings, classes, pairings, and traveling to vineyards, Samuel quickly became a fanatic. Once the family had acquired the T Bar T vineyard in Alexander Valley, Samuel knew he wanted to start working more in the wine industry. Samuel believes in a wine that knows no bounds by time or place, a wine that can be drunk in any scenario. This is reflected in Red Bear Winery’s smooth, refreshing, yet powerful taste. Samuel also is a partner in Los Angeles’ celebrated dining destination, Olivetta, among other business ventures.
